Tasting Notes: "Coming from a site north of St. Helena, on the east side of Highway 29, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Shibumi Knoll Vineyard has a beautiful, perfumed, elegant style in its red and blue fruits as well as notes of rose petal, chocolate, and exotic flowers. It actually reminds me slightly of Las Piedras with its floral character and is medium to full-bodied, balanced, and elegant on the palate, with terrific tannins. It’s going to evolve for 15-20 years."- Jeb Dunnuck.
"From a small alluvial fan between Highway 29 and the Napa River, Shibumi Knoll's 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon comes across as rather oaky (it spent 18 months in 75% new French oak) as well as soft, supple and easy. Full-bodied, with notes of loamy earth, cedar and cassis, it's delicious but not overly complex. With just 134 cases produced and winemaking by Thomas Rivers Brown, one suspects this will be a tough Cab to catch."- Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
