Critical Acclaim: 95 pts James Suckling; 91 pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
About the Wine: Under vine since 1849, Eden Rift is the oldest continuously producing estate vineyard in California. Eden Rift Vineyards is located twenty miles from the cold waters of Monterrey Bay. A mountainside property nestled within the Gavilan Range, the marine-influenced site features decomposed granite and limestone, ideal for the cultivation of estate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Tasting Notes: "A layered and fine-grained pinot with strawberry and cherry aromas and flavors. Flint and some cranberry and watermelon, too. Pure. Medium to full body, bright acidity and light asphalt to the strawberry and raspberry undertones. Drink or hold."- James Suckling.
"Made from Dijon clone vines, the 2018 Pinot Noir Estate has a pale ruby-purple color and scents of spiced rhubarb and black cherries with notes of fragrant earth and tangerine peel. The palate is light-bodied, silky, bright and juicy with spice-laced fruits and a layered finish. 2,510 cases produced."- Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
Varietal: Pinot Noir.
