Winemaker's Tasting Notes: The color is light golden and the aroma is elegant and refined, with fruity notes of peach, apricot, pear, elderflower, kumquat, white flowers with fine spicy notes, jasmine and mimosa. The taste has a deep fruit aroma of pineapple, banana, pear, tomato leaves, green bell pepper, citrus zest. It is harmonic and balanced, with delicate salty minerality with a long lasting creamy finish.
"Stoan (meaning ‘stone’) from the cooperative's ‘selection’ line of wines is a blend of 65% Chardonnay, 20% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Pinot Bianco and 5% Gewurztraminer, fermented and aged for 11 months in large casks. It has a bold aroma of citrus, apple, stone fruits and white flowers, while in the mouth a focused core of juicy, sapid tropical fruits and green apple is surrounded by mouthwatering acidity. The mid-palate is stony, while the finish is long and peppery, with some floral lift and a sprinkle of exotic spices. Unique and delicious."- Decanter.
Serving Suggestion: Excellent with fish dishes and seasoned white meat or also with spicy pork with mushrooms.
