About the wine: Summer Dreams is the newest wine project by Jayson Woodbridge, of Hundred Acre. For this debut, it is a collection of wines from unique micro-vineyards across western Sonoma Coast. Each wine is from hillside vineyard sites chosen for their generous slope ranging from 900 – 1900 feet above sea level and unique sequences of Goldridge soil. Goldridge soils are rare, fine-grained sandy loam known for excellent drainage, and a characteristically light and fluffy texture. These soils give the wine texture, dimension, acidity, and length that allows the wines of this area to compete with the very best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir around the world.
"Leading off the Pinot Noirs, the 2021 Pinot Noir Stargazing has bright cherry and darker raspberry notes supported by classy oak, peppery herbs, and spicy nuances. It's medium-bodied, fresh, focused, has fine tannins, and a great finish. It picks up some complex sassafras and floral notes with time in the glass. There's so much to love here. Drink bottles over the coming 7-8 years."- Jeb Dunnuck.
"The 2021 Stargazing Pinot Noir is medium ruby-purple in color. The nose opens with evocative notes of cranberry sauce, redcurrant jelly, and stewed rhubarb followed by nuances of lavender and underbrush. The full-bodied palate is electric with energy, delivering bursts of red berries, earthy accents, and floral notes framed by firm, fine-grained tannins and a racy backbone, finishing long and tingly." -The Wine Independent.
