Critical Acclaim: 96 pts Tim Atkin.
Winemaker Tasting Notes: "Vibrant, deep red color. Wild red berries on the nose with a salty slate liquorice fennel aspect that is true to Malgas. There is a definite thyme and 'wildflower' flavor, that is followed by a dusty/musty note. Dense, juicy fruit palate envelopes the substantial, concentrated structure. Complex, layered minerality, spicy fruitcake on the mid-palate and a long, dry, silky finish."
"Sijnn is one of the most amazing new terroirs in the Cape, producing wines of remarkable individuality. This Rhone meets Bordeaux meets the Douro Valley blend, made with grapes grown just 15km from the sea, is stony, complex and intensly aromatic, showing lavender, and wild thyme flavors, grippy tannins layered, mineral intense fruit."- Tim Atkin.
