Critical Acclaim: 91 pts Wine Enthusiast.
About the Wine: Vigna Boito is located on the upper part of the Rizzi Cru. The soil is geologically younger than the surrounding areas: more clayey and deeper. The result is a classic and muscular wine with a great aging potential. To the nose one can detect notes of violet, ripe plum, liquorice and leather.
Tasting Notes: "Aromas of baked plum and menthol form the nose along with whiffs of forest floor. The brawny palate offers dried cherry, star anise and the heat of evident alcohol while assertive, grainy tannins clench the grippy finish."- Wine Enthusiast.
The label on this bottle is a tribute to Kobe Bryant who spent several years living in the small village of Reggio Emilia where his father played for Reggio's professional basketball team.
Varietal: Nebbiolo.
