Critical Acclaim: 93 pts Decanter; 93 pts Burghound.
Winemaker's Tasting Notes: The taste has lemon, white peach and yellow fruit. The palate is round and greedy.
"“Intriguing smoky character on the nose, Brocard's Montée de Tonnerre captures the essence of this top premier cru. Compact and concentrated on the palate, there is a fine combination of white flowers on the nose, stone fruit on the palate, powerful acidity and minerality. This really needs two to three years in bottle before broaching.”- Decanter.
"Note: this is mostly from Chapelot in 2020. This is also very floral in character with its elegant nose of spice, citrus, shellfish and iodine whiffs. Like the Vaulorent, the mouthfeel of the medium-weight flavors is very sleek and even more refined with more evident minerality as well that really comes up on the linear, moderately austere and much more complex finale. Lovely.*Burghound Sweet Spot Outstanding!"- Burghound.
Serving Suggestion: Oysters, seafood, grilled fish and light-to-medium courses.
