Tasting Notes: This 100% Sangiovese comes from a very high elevation, hillside, old-vine vineyard in Greve in Chianti. The pure elegance of this wine is evident from the moment you put your nose in the glass. Notes of tart, red cherry, cranberry and red plum are accented by saddle leather, tomato leaf and fresh rose petals. The wine has great intensity of flavor, but is also weightless on your pallet at the same time. The finish is extremely long as all of the components fade away slowly.
About the Wine: Ghost Somm is a collaboration between several celebrated Master Sommeliers and their connections to the world's greatest producers. This rare bottling appears only when they feel the quality meets their standards.
