Clusel-Roch Côte Rôtie 'Les Schistes' 2021

About the Winery: Based in Verenay, the northernmost village in Côte Rôtie, this 3.5 hectare domaine is run by Gilbert Clusel, his wife Brigit and their son Guillaume. 

Winemaker's Tasting Notes: Fine, elegant wine revealing quite a strong tannin structure. Relatively complex fragrances of black fruits, spices and violets. The wines at their peak unveil aromas of undergrowth and grilled tobacco. 

Serving Suggestion: Grilled meats, lamb and duck. 

Varietal: 95% Syrah selected from the best vines and small amounts of Viognier.
