Critical Acclaim: 92 pts Jeb Dunnuck
About the Winery: L'Hermitage appellation dominates by its location on top of a hill, it covers 130 hectares and is planted on a steep slope. This wine is made from a granite terraced vineyard, with direct sunlight exposure.
Tasting Notes: A deep red ruby colour, notes of red fruits and cassis. The attack is complete and elaborate, the wine is smooth and working in a bouquet and with great finesse.
"Lots of pure cassis, candied violets, orange blossom, and spice emerge from the 2020 Hermitage J. Denuzière, a medium to full-bodied, nicely textured, perfumed, and exotic Hermitage. It should round into form with just short-term bottle age and keep for over a decade." - Jeb Dunnuck
Varietal: Syrah.
