About the Winery: In Sancerre, our vines are planted on around thirty plots on the three major Sancerre terroirs and exclusively on south- and southeast-facing slopes. On 50% caillottes, 40% white earth and 10% flint terroirs, our Sancerre wines are representative of the typical diversity of the Sancerre vineyard. The harvest is carried out by hand. Labeled organic since 2016, working methods referring to biodynamics also guide our farming practices.
Winemaker's Tasting Notes: 55 year old vines grown in clay soils, and this spends one year in barrel. Complex, vivid and intense with good acidity as well as rich pear, peach and mandarin fruit with some wax and citrus character. Subtle nut and wax characters as well as bold, rich fruit. I love the contrast between the ripe rich fruit and the fresh acidity. Lots of character here.
