Critical Acclaim: 95 pts Decanter; 90 pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
Tasting Notes: "Le Chapitre in Chenôve is among the finest in the northern Côte de Nuits, yet this is among the first vintages elevated to village status. Pataille farms just over a hectare at mid-slope with orange-brown rocky limestone soils (grèzes litées) which give the wine a pronounced mineral concentration. The fruit expression is pomegranate/ raspberry; there is a hint of reduction, which will pass, and a spicy depth to the nose. The texture is tannic and fresh, with plenty of substance and a lingering finish."- Decanter.
"The 2021 Marsannay is fleshy and charming, bursting with aromas of raspberries, plums and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, textural and seamless, with lively acids and a saline finish, it's derived from parcels dotted all over the appellation."- Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
About the Winery: Sylvain Pataille is recognized today as one of the elite growers in the Cote d'Or, specifically in northern Cote de Nuits, in the village of Marsannay.
