About the Winery: The small vineyard of Cottà located in the municipality of Neive was purchased by family in the 1970’s. It was then vinified separately for the first time in 2015, and is considered another historic soul of the Barbaresco area. This vineyard is where the Tortonian imprint from the land gives complex and long lived wines.
Tasting Notes: "Aromas of fruit, sweet violets and roses. It’s more upfront on the palate, with firm dusty tannins, refreshing acidity and a good cherry-pit finish. Medium-bodied. Needs a year to be more enjoyable." - James Suckling.
"Aromas of pink flowers, their delicate scent lifting from the glass, chased by a medley of forest berries and a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice that add a tingling sensation to the nose. Ripe raspberries, red currant jam, and a hint of licorice, all wrapped up with a subtle touch of dried rosebuds define the core of the palate. Fine tannins and fresh acidity work hand in hand, creating a balanced and harmonious finish on this very pretty Barbaresco. Drink Now - 2040."- Wine Enthusiast.
